At Abbeville Area Medical Center, our volunteers help us enhance the level of compassionate care we provide to our patients. And, being a smaller hospital, they also provide vital support to many of our departments.
Established in 1968, the AAMC Auxiliary has proudly served our hospital for more than 50 years. Hours are flexible and fill-in help is always needed!
We greatly appreciate our volunteers’ time, sense of responsibility and flexibility and offer a variety of service opportunities to match most any interests and talents.
Applicants must fill out an application and complete an orientation session. A TB test is given and other titers performed.
Benefits of becoming a volunteer include a complimentary flu shot, invitations to hospital events, an annual volunteer recognition banquet, and the amazing feeling of knowing you’re supporting a great cause.
A variety of volunteer opportunities are available in several different departments including the Gift Shop, Medical Records, HomeBridge Hospice and as a Patient Escort/Greeter. General clerical and office help is also needed.
