Position Title: Patient Access Supervisor-FT

Department:Registration
Position Description: Will be responsible for all registration activites that includes quality oversight of registration accuracy, meeting and exceeding benchmarks for Point of Service collections, department productivity, personnel training and development, initiating department process improvement activities and routine reporting of finance information to PFS Director and management.

The above wage range reflects the minimum, midpoint and maximum hourly rate for this position. New employees are hired between the minimum and midpoint of this range. The initial wage offered will be based on qualifications and experience.
    Qualifications:
    Education:HS Diploma or equivalent required. Two years of post high school education preferred. Certified Healthcare Access Accountant or Certified Healthcare Access Manager preferred.
    Experience:At least 2 years experience in patient accounting, including patient registration, billing, financial counseling and collections. One year of management experience which includes supervising employees. Prior healthcare experience must include; interpretting and implementing government regulations and advisory bulletins, knowledge of HIPAA and EMTALA rules.
    Physical Requirements:Forty hours per week are required including the possibility of late evenings, weekends and overtime as needed. Majority of the time is spent sitting, using office equipment, such as a telephone, or typing. Some periods of standing to operate photocopy machine, or walking to deliver memos, etc. Bending and stooping are required for filing and organizing supplies. Hand eye coordination for operation of computer equipment. Able to work efficiently and effectively under time constraints.
