 | Education: | MLT requires Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. MT requires Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology or in appropriate chemical or physical science, plus a minimum of 12 months training in an accredited School of Medical Technology. |
 | Experience: | Relevant experience preferred. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail. Analytical skills necessary in order to determine proper specimen container and storage. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with physicians and various other personnel. |
 | Physical Requirements: | Walking or standing up to eighty percent of the work time. Subject to frequent changes in priority of duties throughout the day. Analytical skills necessary in order to determine appropriateness of laboratory order. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail. Occasional exposure to hazardous materials. |
 | License Required: | MLT - must be ASCP registered or eligible, MT - must be ASCP registered or eligible, or, MLT, ASCP with HHS registry |
