To learn more about what you can do to reduce your risks and even prevent a stroke, you are cordially invited to attend a free presentation on Monday, November 14 at 7:00 pm at Abbeville Area Medical Center. Dr. Glen Scott of Abbeville Neurology will discuss Stroke Risk Factors, Symptoms and the Latest Treatments at the November program, part of the hospital’s monthly Ladies’ Night Out Series.

“Stroke, which is often referred to as ‘brain attack’, results from the loss of blood flow to parts of the brain,” explained Dr. Scott. “The important thing to remember is that stroke can be treated and often prevented. During the Ladies’ Night Out program, we will discuss the primary risk factors associated with stroke and what women can do to minimize their risk. We will also talk about what to do if you think you or someone else is having a stroke.”
