|Men don’t always do a great job in taking care of themselves. They’re often reluctant to see a doctor about any medical issues or concerns they might have until a loved one encourages them to do so. That’s why this month, instead of a Ladies’ Night Out, Abbeville Area Medical Center is hosting a MEN’S NIGHT OUT, a special event designed to address the health concerns of men. The program will be held on Tuesday, April 24 at 7:00 pm on the hospital campus. Dr. Christopher Oxendine, of Family Medicine Associates, will lead a discussion on topics ranging from prostate problems to impotence.
“Men are often reluctant to talk about any medical concerns with their loved ones or even their own physician,” said Dr. Oxendine. “During the program, we will talk about the various medical conditions men might face at different stages in their lives, as well as potential treatment options”.
The Men’s Night Out program will be held in the Administrative Wing Education Room on the hospital campus, which is located at 420 Thomson Circle. The program is free however pre-registration is requested. Program attendees will enjoy coffee and dessert, and are eligible for a prize drawing at the end of the program. Women are welcome to attend!
