Dr. Amy Forrest of Greenwood Obstetrics & Gynecology to Discuss How Women Can Reach Their Desired Weight Following These Life-changing Events
(Abbeville SC) August 2, 2011 – Many women struggle to maintain or lose weight, especially following the birth of a child and following the onset of menopause. Those unwanted pounds seem to be especially difficult to shed during these two life-changing times in a woman’s life. To help women address this issue, Abbeville Area Medical Center is offering a free program, Weight Management Issues Following Childbirth & Menopause, on Thursday August 25 at 7:00 pm. Dr. Amy Forrest of Greenwood Obstetrics and Gynecology will offer tips on how women can reach and maintain their desired weight. The program is part of the hospital’s Ladies Night Out series.
“Helping women who struggle with weight management issues following these two major life- changing events has become a passion of mine,” said Dr. Forrest. “I know so many women who have experienced the frustration of trying to stay healthy and in shape after the birth of a child or following menopause.
