Industrial Fire Systems of Greenville and the Abbeville Area Medical Center Foundation held its Seventh Annual Pro-Am Golf Tournament on October 5th. With a record 25 teams and golf professionals participating, the event took place at Greenwood Country Club.
Teams consisted of four amateurs and one golf professional who played a "two best ball" (1 BB gross + 1 BB net) format. This year there were four hole-in-one prizes sponsored by EmpowER Systems - three trips and a $10,000.00 cash prize. .
Proceeds from the Pro-Am Golf Tournament will be used by the Foundation to help purchase several pieces of equipment for various hospital departments. The amount raised is still being tallied.
Winners were as follows: John West – closest to the pin; Teams: 1st place with a score of 124 – David Able, Shane Norryce, Jeff Garrett, Joel Garrett, Golf Professional – H.B. Hale; 2nd place with a score of 128 – Britt Stamper, Mike McClung, Alex Brookshire, Ricky Karim, Golf Professional – Tim Will; 3rd place with a score of 129 – Phillip Martin, Josh Black, Nathan Alewine, Nakia Davis, Golf Professional – Dave Amundson; 4th place with a score of 130 – Steve Jackson, Brad Jackson, Tombo Hite, Chuck Wright, Golf Professional – Dana Wright; 5th place with a score of 131 – Sylvester Reed, Calvin Brown, Ed Oliver, Tommy Lee, Golf Professional – Denton Moore. Golf Professionals: 1st Place: Vince Hatfield with a 68; 2nd place – HB Hale with a 69; 3rd place tie: Denton Moore and Josh Clark with a 70. |
